Aemon Barzanji is a Sydney based cinematographer with a strong work ethic and distinctive eye for creating lasting images. Having graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts: Screen Production from AFTRS in 2022, he has been freelancing on a variety of projects as a director of photography. In 2025, he won a Silver award at the Australian Cinematographer Society NSW awards for his work on BUNNY.

Aemon’s portfolio includes a multitude of short films, commercials, and more recently, a feature film. Aemon has worked with multiple fashion brands to bring their campaigns to life including Voleur De Temps and Guerilla Apparel. His first feature, BUNNY, premiered at the SXSW Sydney film festival in 2025 and is currently being distributed globally. His graduate short film, BOTTLENECK was selected for the Aesthetic Film Festival in the UK, and has played in dozens of festivals across the globe.

Aemon prides himself on his collaborative process, tailoring his style to the project and director vision, whilst bringing his own professional sensibilities and keen eye to the table.
